Anne-Marie

Voice & Piano Instructor

Anne-Marie is a passionate educator, performer, conductor, and arranger. She’s a local gal, having spent almost twenty years in Philadelphia. She was born in Massachusetts and played the cello growing up, but couldn’t ignore her passion for singing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of the Arts. She has experience in a wide number of musical styles: from Opera to Pop, Rock, Jazz, Folk, Musical Theater, and other contemporary styles.

Anne-Marie specializes in vocal health and vocal ergonomics to improve technique, increase longevity, and prevent injuries. She has 10+ years’ experience teaching both children and adults in all stages of their music experience.

Dana

Studio Owner & Founder

A graduate from Belmont University’s Master of Music program, Dana uses her Vocal Pedagogy degree to help singers understand the importance of vocal health in their singing careers. Using this approach, Dana guides her students to understand the singing voice on both an anatomical and artistic level so they can feel the most freedom and confidence when singing. Dana has always loved Philadelphia and is so excited to see the studio grow from Nashville to the downtown location in the Gayborhood!
Dana has worked as a vocal coach for over 10 years. She also offers guitar lessons for singer-songwriters and in-studio recording consultation services for artists. Her voice certifications include methods such as The Lovetri Method and The Blaylock Method; Dana remains an active member of voice teaching organizations such as NATS and PAVA. Outside of teaching, Dana performs locally, nationally, and has made appearances internationally in Sydney, Australia.

Our lessons studio has a fun Nashville spin, which does not mean only country but a mix of commercial styles and an emphasis on developing your own unique sound! The studio is located in Gayborhood, a vibrant and accessible neighborhood in Downtown Philly. The studio is only a 7 minute walk from the closest public transit station and just a few minutes from the Curtis Institute, University of the Arts, Academy of Music, and more!
There is street parking available out front of the studio.
